Word Count

Yes that was my final update to my NaNo novel before the month ended. Actually I had 50,053 words but for some reason NaNo's word count verifier decided to exclude just ONE word. I'm wondering what word though. :lmao:

I plan to try and get this novel published. I even started writing this novel with the intention of getting it published.

I'm still having a hard time comprehending that I actually accomplished this. :O_o: All my past attempts at writing a novel have been met with immediate failure. I don't think I've ever gotten beyond two pages in the past.

My NaNo novel is 88 pages at Calibri Size 10! :ohnoes:

Publishing

In a few days I will begin serious edits on this novel. I'm taking a break from it since I want to let it stew so I can edit it with a fresher mind.

December and January is a decent time of the year to go through and polish it since generally this isn't really the best time of year to look for literary agents. (Yes, I've done a lot of research.) :ohnoes:

And really, I have to thank an elementary classmate of mine. :o It was she that convinced me to try this. I was thinking I'd never be able to do this so I wasn't even going to try, but she was, "C'mon. It'll at least be good practice!" So she convinced me. :o And well . . .

Best. November. Ever.

Man I'd think of more stuff to say, but I'm tired. :ohnoes: I need sleep.

GL! Though I'd recommend to let it stew a few months because even a few days isn't really sufficient enough to get proper distance - have you heard of NaNoEdMo? In March, people come together to aim for 50 hours of editing in a month on their novels. :) You may prefer that. Just a rec, though!

Congratulations and best of luck with it! :D
